The half of Phase I (first 6 months)

• Equipping the laboratory for the chemical synthesis of multiferroic perovskites

• Employment of one postdoctoral investigator specialized in sol-gel synthesis

• Crystallochemical design and preparation of new perovskite-based multiferroics A₂BTeO₆

• Thin film deposition of the selected compounds

• Determination of chemical compositions of the obtained samples by microprobe analysis, EDX, ICP-AES and CHN analysis

• Structural characterization of samples by single crystal and powder X-ray diffraction including Rietveld refinement

• Preparation and submission of publications; active attendance on conferences
